Do full-mouth dental implants look natural?
For many patients, it is a common worry that full-mouth dental implants won’t look natural once they’re in position.
Unlike your natural teeth which will have aged with you over the years, dental implants will be shiny and new. However, to counteract this, there are several things we can do to help your natural teeth blend in with your implants!
This includes:
- Whitening your natural teeth prior to fitting your full-mouth dental implant to ensure a seamless match, OR
- Choosing the correct colour match for the full-mouth dental implant if the patient does not want to, or cannot, whiten their natural teeth.
- Altering the shape of the dental implant to make sure it blends in well and maintains the symmetry of your smile and jaw.
Similarly, by using a full-mouth dental implant, your prosthetic teeth are much less likely to be noticed, because the prosthesis is not removable and is implanted directly into the jawbone - just like natural teeth.
